Sitting outside of his own house with a cell phone he had opened up in his hands, Rhett could probably care less about the world around him. He was too focused on what he was doing. And what was he doing? Well, he was just looking on the inside of a cell phone. He had always had a thing for fixing items, but there was no need to really fix this phone. It had just been sitting around in his house with no purpose. An old phone his mother neglected to throw away until now, simply because she had been cleaning things out and was ready to get rid of a few things.
He was pulling things out, moving things around. He just wanted to see where everything was and what they did. That, and he was a bit bored. He had been waiting on Ashlee for about fifteen minutes or so now, and it wasn't like Ashlee was late or anything, he just decided to go outside and sit because there was nothing better to do. His boredom ended up in him digging in the trash, and that's when he found the phone. There were no liquids or rotten things in the trash though, which was good, because it's not like he wanted to be smelly infront of the kid he had a crush on.
His yellow shirt was still clean and garbage free, along with his dark blue jeans. His hair was just...sitting, as usual. He had nothing special to do with his hair, and often times just let it stay how it was, because what's the point of styling it when he knew it was going to be messed up a few minutes later? It was just something he always knew was going to happen and never wasted his time on. Knicking his finger on something rather sharp, that was most likely not supposed to be in the phone anyways, he pulled his finger out, looked at it, and wiped it on his pants. "Stupid" he whispered, but went back into messing with the phone anyways. He'd pay attention when Ashlee came up, but for now, he was going to figure this thing out. Just for the fun of it. Just out of boredom. ooc; sorry.

It was actually just another day for Ashlee, just minus the fact that he stayed clad in his pajamas the whole morning instead of taking his time to straighten his hair anyway and not go around with messy locks of hair sticky everywhere. It just wasn't like him. Plain blue pants were over his legs, and a combination of a rather bad t-shirt to compar it to. It had a big yellow duck printed on the front of it with just a plain white background. The saying that it had on it wasn't really what you'd expect it to say, but it was on the hilarious side in his opinion. That was why he liked the shirt so much because it said 'What the duck'. Basically a different form of 'What the fuck'. His parents stared at him in a weird way when he came down stairs without being dressed up for the day already like he normally was. Today he was just simply off his rocker I guess. Ashlee didn't have anything planned out for today until around noonish when he was invited over to his friends house, Rhett. Oh how much he secretly crushed on the boy, and loved him like a friend should. Or if you want to use the word 'care for', well, words for that.
Now Ashlee had to get ready, and for him it took him nearly forever since he acted just like a girl when it came to getting ready in the morning. Taking up and hogging the bathroom up for hours on end. Right now, he only had a few minutes since he knew it didn't take that long to actually get over there. Running up the carpeted stairs he went into his bathroom and flipped on the light switch before plugging in his hair straightener, and setting out his tooth brush and toothpaste. It didn't take long for a straightener to heat up when it was set on high, and it gave him enough time to change from the ridiculous clothing attire of his pajamas. Leaving his house in his pajamas was the last thg he wanted to do. So, he went into his room that was opposite of the bathroom and closed the door behind him for some privacy to himself. Roaming through his closet he grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans and a bright red shirt that said 'RAWR' on it in impact font like eight times in black and white colours. The letters overlapped and it showed he wasn't afraid to be bold and different.
After pulling on his clothes, Ashlee set off to do his normal routine of fixing his hair. Straightening it over and over again he glanced at the clock with hazel eyes and averted his eyes back. It had been fifteen minutes since hecalled so he sighed. Agreeing with the texture it was in he sprayed it down with hairspray and gel, then quickly cleaned his hands and brushed his teeth. Smiling in the mirror as he examined his teeth, he posed a few times and then hurried down the stairs. "I'm going to Rhett's house. I'll be back later..." He shouted to his parents as he walked out the door to head to his friends house. It wasn't that far for Ashlee, and he was really excited that he got to see his friend. Running down the walkway his Vans knocked on the concrete sidewalk and he made his way down the street. Flipping the hair from his face the sixteen year old swayed side to side to his own little beat he started in his head. After another five or so minutes he was walking up his friends driveway. Letting out a scream of joy like some sort of fan girl, he ran his way up to Rhett who was toying with a phone in his hand. "Hey Rhett. Whatcha doing?" Ashlee was the weird one, but Rhett could match him equally in return. He tilted his head to the side to examine the opened phone with a smile.

His finger was stinging, but instead of doing anything he should've about it, he just stuck his finger in his mouth and hoped it would stop the singng for at least a few seconds. He pulled it right back out though, only for his hand to find it's way in his pants pocket, pulling out his cell own, working cell phone. They weren't the same, but maybe if he ripped his own apart and moved a few things around, or clean some of it off, then it would work better? He had been having a few problems with his phone shutting off by itself and the buttons not working. All he had to do was rip it and...
His thoughts were slightly interrupted by a scream, and he nearly dropped both of the phones in his hand. Rhett quickly looked up though, huge grin on his lips when he saw who it was. He wanted to jump up and hug him but...well, he thought that'd be a bit weird. Not because he didn' t like touching Ashlee though (or Ashlee touching him), because Rhett trusted Ashlee enough to actually make some kind of physical contact with the boy, he just thought it'd be strange for him to do so. Instead, he placed both phones down on the concrete and rose to his feet. "I was just looking at it." He pointed down at the phone that was left open on the ground. "What have you been up to?" His head tilted to the side, but he kept going, his foot tapping very quietly. "I like your hair today...like always, but still." The boy shrugged with another warm grin.
Sometimes Ashlee made him nervous, but he wasn't quite nervous yet. He really enjoyed spending time with the boy, though, and sometimes he didn't really understand why he liked him so much. He was really nice kid, but a lot of people were nice to him and it never gave him the same feeling. Ashlee was one of the people who didn't make fun of him though, or hang out with him out of pity, or at least he hoped he didn't. There was just something about him that was so...cute and..great. Something he could never find in anyone else. It made him feel special or somewhat wanted.
If Ashlee didn't like the way he acted, maybe he could calm down a little for him, but there really wasn't much he could see himself doing to change for him. Rhett really, really did like the boy a lot, but he wasn't one to change for other people. He knows a lot of people don't like him because of the way he acts, but he can't do anything about it. He can't go about changing himself for everyone who didn't like him, so he just learned to live with it. If someone didn't like him, he didn't let it bother him. He'd gotten a bit attached to Ashlee though, so if he didn' tlike him it'd be slightly different, but he still couldn't see himself changing.
He wasn't htinking about that right now though. Right now, his mind was on the boy standing before him. He was pretty cute, he wasn't going to lie to himself about that one. He didn't want to get nervous around the kid because...that'd be just a little weird, and when he get snervous he just stops moving around as much and freezes up. Other than that, it's ont too noticeable, but he didn't want it to happen any further than it was. Bending over and picking up both of the phones, he shoved the one that was alright in his pocket, and the one he ripped apart in his other hand. Rhett didn't really want to throw it away since he had already opened it, but if he got it to work, what could he do with it? He shook his head and let his blue eyes focus on Ashlee again.

Ashlee didn't mean to scare his friend out of his pants, or startle him enough to cause him to hurt himself by accident by him coming in and interupting his alone time at trying to fix a cell phone. Cell phones were a big waste honestly to Ashlee, but he had one anyway so that he wasn't left out of the crowd much with the whole cliques and stuff. If you actually sat there and asked him what he thought about cell phones, he'd tell you straight up that he hated them and just found the ring tones - even if they were a favourite song or saying of his - rather on the annoying side. How could you even think about carrying something around like that and just wait aimlessly for it to ring its annoying little reminder. Gave him goosebumps honestly, and he despised them with all the blood that ran through the skinny little blue veings of his. All in all, to summarize his opinion, he just hated the fact that that was what the world has come to. People sitting around talking to someone on the phone when they could take a healthy walk down the street to just talk to the person. Sure it's quicker by phone, but Ashlee was just really old fashioned when it came to things like that.
"Well, before you asked me to come over here I honestly had slept in late and was still in my pajamas. It was a huge first for me, but I spent some time dancing around in my room, but that's nothing interesting. Just my usual behavior, but now I'm here and now there is bound to be something really interesting and adventerous for us to do. Standing here and working on the phone isn't an option cause I'm not into that type of things, Rhett-Rabbit, and joo know it," Ashlee's voice wasn't at all pushy on the subject, or sounded really ordering him around because it wasn't in his personality to do something like that. Just speak his mind and talk non-stop until he was told to stop and or got annoyed with him. After he finishd his rambles again he heard the comment that Rhett had said about his hair, and he smiled really wide and genuine like as a barely visible heat rose to his cheeks that showed the evidence that he was indeed blushing. Even though the comment was something that he received at a steady pace from other people at school and having it said by Rhett was really just something that happened here and there, but there was just some times where he couldn't help but let the feelings that dwelled inside of him allow him to blush.
There wasn't a big specific time where Rhett made Ashlee nervous or sort of self concious of himmf like most people do since he actually cared a whole lot what other people thought about it. Though, it was far from being so blunt that he'd change for someone since that was just wrong to do. To deny who you really were was almost like a crime and seemed illegal in Ashlee's mind. And with all of these opinions that fluttered in and out of Ashlee's mind, you can obviously get the picture that he is very judgemental, but he is also willing to give someone a second chance to redeem themselves to possibly be friends with Ashlee if they really wanted to. When it came to being around Rhett, he left all the judgement at his home and locked it up in a cage until later. He was never going to judge Rhett the wrong way and that was a big fear that he was so not willing to let happen in their friendship. Only good critisisiom was going to be welcomed, and he knew it.
"Oh! I have an idea for an adventure that you might enjoy... though, it may be a little really childish but what isn't with me?" Shifting in the spot, he wanted to just simply jump around and be all happy since there was alot going through his head at the moment. "We can be super secret ninjas on a top secret mission to defeat the super villian Mr. Goober-Bear," Goober-Bear was the common name he used for the villians in the game that he found himself playing even by himself. All he could do now was to hope that Rhett wasn't going to back down on the game. If he was, then they could find solitude in something else than a silly four-year old imagination game at the age of fifteen and sixteen.

Cell phones definitely weren't a big part of Rhett's life. Actually, he spent most of his time losing or forgetting his cell phone at home to even be worried about having anyone calling him. He only keeps it because his mom worries if he doesn't have one, and something bad happens, he won't be able to call anyone. Rhett never actually understood why she cared about him that much anyways, but he figured her fear came from the death of his older brother, so he didn't argue. He just took the phone, shoved it in his pocket, and rarely answered any calls that he received on it. He'd probably never really talk on it, ever, if he wasn't inviting people over or being invited somewhere. Like now, when he invited Ashlee over. That was one reason he enjoyed his phone; it made inviting the kid he had a crush on over even faster.
While he listened to what Ashlee said, he decided that there was really no point in keeping the phone. Even if he did fix it what was he going to do? Sell it? And what Ashlee had to say about it made him decide even more he needed to get rid of the phone. Nodding, he just bent over again and placed the open phone and its parts on the ground beside his foot. "I knooow." He nodded slowly. "I wasn't going to ask you to. I was just waiting for you. But now you're here, so I'm done." He grinned, looking Ashlee over for a second and thinking of how he spent his morning. Sometimes he wished he could spend his night sleeping, but he knew that day would not be coming anytime soon. He was almost too paranoid in his house to sleep any later than ten. Usually when he woke up his mother wasn't home, which gave him even more of a reason to be paranoid. Being alone was something that Rhett absolutely did not agree on, and the only way to comfort himself was by fixing things, or preoccupying his thoughts on something else. It was just how he worked.
The male couldn't help but giggle quietly at what he was thinking about at the moment, and he took a small step away from the boy, grin still playing on his lips. "Dancing? I think you should demonstrate a few of your dance moves." His hand lifted and his index finger pointed to the little bit of space inbetween them. Rhett soon shifted all of his weight to one leg and waited for Ashlee's response. Everyone's moments of dancing in their rooms was cute, so he thought no different of Ashlee's. If anything, this kid's was way cuter than everyone else's. The only thing Rhett didn't want was for Ashlee to ask him to join in or show him some of his moves, because dancing is not his thing. He's never been one for dancing in his room or in the bathroom. It was just never him, simply not his thing, and if asked he'd refuse.
Rhett nodded in agreement with what Ashlee said about him never being non-childish. The guy always was a bit playful and on the little kid side, but that was something he loved about him. Yeah, he got annoyed of it with himself, but his childish thing was calming down a bit, and even if it stayed his was never as extreme as Ashlee's. Laughing very softly before nodding quickly and looking around, his eyebrow slowly rose and another question formed in his mind. "Sounds good but...who is Mr. Goober-Bear?" He wasn't going to diss the boy's idea, but since he wasn't too involved with the childish type of play, but instead more of the he had to just keep moving type of thing, he was often slow on imagining these kinds of things. Imagining people and what not was something else he missed, or forgot to do when he was a child, apparently.

That had to be the only purpose that Ashlee himself had one. His parents didn't really pay an attention to him anyway, but if a relative was to die or something big was to happen they wanted to get quick contact with him. Ashlee's parents knew that even when he did take his cell phone with him he kept it on either vibrate or silence and rarely answered it even when he did see the front portion of the phone lighting up. Luckily he was toying with his phone and was seeing what was exactly on the disgusting invention. Nothing much on it interested him even more and he was nearly startled out of his pajama pants when he felt it suddenly vibrate in the palms of his hands. Rolling his eyes at the time, he was about to just click 'ignore call', but froze when he noticed that it was the familar number of his close friend and present crush. Ashlee tried not to be really blunt about the subject but sometimes the idea to just blurt it out was a huge temptation to shout it out to him so that he didn't have to worry about him not liking him back.
"Okay, I wasn't going to push you away from fixing that phone. If you want to, you can but I mean you'd still have to pay attention to me at some point. I'm not trying to seem conceited though cause that's just not meh," Rambling when he didn't need to was a flaw for the sixteen year old sophmore. Normally in the mornings it was alot more creative and he spent more time in front of the bathroom mirror instead of dancing around like a boob. It wasn't until about a month or two ago that he actually got back into sleeping through the nights without being so frightened that Trevar was going to sneak into his room or something like that. That was a nightmare come to life for a young kid like him and he didn't even want to think long on the type of life Rhett himself was living. It was good that he had Ashlee as a friend since he was very hyper in the good way sometimes and sort of averted his mind away from his possible problems. Though, Ashlee does have the bone in him that can be serious too. He just hadn't had the right time to do it yet.
Ashlee gasped mutely as his friend asked him to show him some of his dance moves. Popping his hip out to the side like a girl, and then placed his hands on his hips he thought a momenton it. "Wha-? Tells joo? I would if I could, but I can't because you might try to steal my awesome dance moves that are the best in the entire universe," He wobbled his head forward as he leaned forward towards Rhett. It wasn't in a smart-alec tone, just really jokingly because it was also a little joke that he said alot of the time when he got onto the topic of his dancing skills. It was just something that he inquired and just thought because it was the only thing that made him feel really really appreciative about himself honestly. And if Rhett honestly thought that he was going to ask him to join in, he was actually far from right. He wasn't planning on embarrassing his friend like that, and anyway he wasn't in the mood to start up dancing without the proper music. "Oh, and, I don't have good music around here so how am I suppose to dance good?" He inquired with the more tilt of his head.
The kid side of Ashlee was never seen in the good way unless he was with Rhett. Only then did someone actually appreciate the fact that he still acted like a kid on the inside even after getting older and was already sixteen. Though, seriousness was in his agenda, but it never came across his path to be serious so he never had the chance to be at the right time. If he tried to at the wrong time, then he'd seem like a bigger boob. Mr. Goober-Bear was the super villian who wanted to take over the whole Secret Ninja society, and it was up to Rhett and Ashlee to save it of course. That was the whole point in the game. "Well, Mr. Goober-Bear's real name is Thomas, but we need to call him Mr. Goober-Bear. Anyway, he's a super villian who is trying to take over," His voice lowered at this. Just without the whole pause, "the secret ninja society. What we're in duh. And I think he's hiding in your backyard," Ashlee nodded with his lips pursed up together in a thought about it because he needed to judge what he was going to do and decide how far into imagination he was going to go with Rhett in this game. Too far and then he'd be looking mental.

"Oh! I'm listening, don't worry." Rhett grinned, shaking his head twice. He did that often. Focused on something so much that it seemed he wasn't really listening, but he really was. Especially when it came to Ashlee he found himself listening a little more, but he listened to everyone else as well. It was just a slight habit that he seemed uninterested when he really was. But so Ashlee knew he had his full attention, he left the phone on the ground, but feeling that wasn't enough, he decided he'd verbally tell him as well. "I didn't think you were conceited, I understand. I'm all focused on you." He nodded and kept his blue eyes on the male infront of him just to prove he was. "No more phone fixing. I promise"
Rhett was a bit glad that Ashlee never had been too serious around him. Sometimes he would like it, and sometimes he wanted to talk about what was wrong with him and what happened to his brother that night (because somehow he feels if he tells someone it'll make him feel better), but he never had the courage to just sit down and tell Ashlee the story. It was still a touchy subject and he didn't just want to blurt it out. NOT DONE; sorry =/
